At TLC LIVE Online School, we recognise that a student’s mental health and wellbeing are fundamental to their academic success and personal growth. Our holistic approach integrates various initiatives designed to keep students motivated, engaged, and supported throughout their educational journey.

Wellbeing Wednesday

Understanding the importance of regular mental health check-ins, we have introduced Wellbeing Wednesday. This dedicated time allows students to participate in activities that promote relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional resilience, fostering a balanced approach to learning.

Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education

Our comprehensive PSHE programme addresses essential life skills, including emotional intelligence, social skills, and health education. By integrating PSHE into our curriculum, we equip students with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of adolescence and beyond.

Mentoring and support

Each student benefits from personalised mentoring sessions, providing a platform to discuss academic progress, personal challenges, and goals. This one-on-one support ensures that students feel heard and valued, contributing to their overall well-being.

Virtual clubs and extracurricular activities

To foster a sense of community and encourage diverse interests, we offer a variety of virtual clubs. These clubs provide opportunities for social interaction, skill development, and the pursuit of hobbies, all within a supportive online environment.

Regular communication with parents

We believe that collaboration between the school and families is vital. Through weekly Teams calls and termly parents’ evenings, we maintain open lines of communication, ensuring that parents are actively involved in their child’s educational experience. Additionally, our parent portal offers 24/7 access to student feedback, attendance records, and timetables, providing real-time insights into their child’s progress.

Small class sizes for personalised learning

Our commitment to small class sizes, with a maximum of nine students per class, allows our educators to tailor lessons to individual learning styles and needs. This personalised approach enhances engagement, motivation, and academic achievement.

Let’s move: encouraging physical activity

Recognising the link between physical health and mental well-being, our Let’s Move initiative dedicates one hour each week to exercise.

Let’s create: exploring creative interests

Through our Let’s Create programme, students can delve into creative pursuits by enrolling in AQA-certified courses covering topics such as Lego building, tattoo design, and more. This exploration of interests fosters creativity, self-expression, and a love for lifelong learning.

At TLC LIVE Online School, we are dedicated to nurturing not only the academic abilities of our students but also their mental and emotional well-being. By integrating these supportive initiatives, we strive to create a balanced and enriching educational experience for every learner.
