Kate
English teacher
Kate has been an English teacher for 18 years, alongside 7 years as an exam marker for AQA, OCR and WJEC. Kate is a qualified autism specialist and enjoys developing alternative and student-led approaches to education. Kate has been an online tutor for several years and believes that the classroom should meet the students wherever they are. An enthusiastic reader, Kate loves to inspire her students with an engaging and hopefully inspiring approach to the texts that they study together. She believes that everyone can enjoy reading – they just have to find the right book!

Liam
Maths teacher
Liam has worked as a mathematics teacher for four years and has specialised in online teaching for the last two. He is a hardworking, dedicated teacher whose passion for his subject always shines through. He has a lot of experience working with SEND children and excels in showing patience whilst nurturing enthusiasm within all his students. Liam has extensive knowledge of mathematics and engineering at all levels, from GCSE to A-Level and beyond.

Janet
Science teacher
Since gaining a PGCE in secondary science, Janet has taught every ability range – from top-grade A-level students to those with profound and multiple learning disabilities – in mainstream and special schools, in KS2 – KS5. Her students’ special needs have included ASD, ADHD, anxiety, mobility issues, dyspraxia, dyslexia, Down’s and other syndromes, visual, hearing and speech & language impairments. After 5 years as Curriculum Leader for Science at a special school in Coventry, Janet joined TLC LIVE in 2020. She is passionate about improving the educational experience of every child.
